Hi!

My name is Ms. Joseph. Your scholar calls me "Ms. J" and I am a 7th grade Reading teacher at Sylvan Hills Middle School.

As a South Florida native, I relocated to Georgia in January of 2017 after graduating with my Bachelor's degree from Southeastern University. Most people who know me would say that I am an educator at heart. After several years of working positions in the fields of retail management and banking, I realized that nothing would be more rewarding to me than teaching in the classroom. I am excited to bring my passion and dedication to this team.

Here at Sylvan we are driven to ensure the success and growth of our students. Part of that mission is to prepare our young Golden Bears for college and career. My role as a Reading teacher is to engage our scholars in ways that promote reading comprehension and communication skills.

We aim for achievement on the Georgia Milestones. With that in mind, I also believe that every one of our students has a unique voice in which they can articulate the knowledge, ideas, and understanding they possess. I am committed to empowering them to do both of these things.
